Fast items across pattern recognition, scheduling ("if task A takes 20 min and blocks tasks B and C, when is C finished?"), percentages, and light algebra. Calculator allowed but the clock (~90 seconds per item) is the real constraint — pen and paper still faster than typing into a calculator on many items.

A 3-week BCG CCA prep plan

Week 1 — Diagnose. Play 30 fast pattern-recognition and scheduling-logic items on the Cognitive Test drill. Skim the CCA personality prompts once so nothing surprises you.
Week 2 — Drill. Daily 15-minute mental-math sets (percentages, ratios, light algebra). 20 timed pattern/scheduling items at ~90 seconds each.
Week 3 — Simulate. Two full 12-minute logic blocks under strict timing. Answer the personality section once end-to-end and stop tempering it. Rest the day before.

Common failure modes

Optimising personality answers. Consistency checks penalise obviously-optimised profiles. Answer honestly and quickly.
Slow starters on the timed block. ~90 seconds per item — practise committing within 20 seconds of reading a prompt.
Ignoring the calculator. It's allowed. Have one on the desk; use it where it saves time.
